Excellent condition full size gold filled Swan with a beautiful Superflex nib! Beautiful shiny lined finish is a very classic styling. This pen is circa 1920's during the golden age of fountain pens. The beautiful Mabie Todd New York made 14k gold #2 nib has huge line variation and writes from a writing from a F/M to BBB+. There is very light wear to the lever and on the edge of the butt end of the barrle. There is an engraving with two initials and 1927 done tastefully in script. The company/production info on the end of the barrel is nice and legible. These New York made Swans are among some of the best Swan ever produced, and the NY made nib is highly sought after for its high quality and excellent writing ability. Beautiful shading, and smooth writer. Most gold filled pens when extensively used show wear at the section which is common, but this beauty shows no such wear! Threads are excellent and cap screws on/off smooth and snug. This pen would feel at home as a daily writer or to brighten someone's collection. Has a new sac, and ready for a new home. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements: 13cm capped, 17cm posted, and 11.4cm unposted.
