[SOLD]Mabie Todd Swallow Set w/N.Y. Nib

This beautiful set by Mabie Todd is in excellent-near mint condition! The marbled effect has a luminescence effect in the Burgundy portions. It also has a cream/white veining which makes the pen really looks like its made out of Marble. The art deco bands shows NO TRIM WEAR. There is a tiny bit of wear on the two clips, and a hint of it on the lever. The lever functions flawlessly. Threads are excellent, and cap screws on smooth and snug. The imprints are nice and deep with a patent date code of May 21-18 meaning the pen was from the late 1910's- early 1920's. The Mabie Todd 14k New York made nib is among some of the best quality nibs that MT & Co ever produced. It is a very responsive Semi-Flex that writes from a Fine/Med to BB. The nib currently has a very slight Right Foot Oblique which indicates it was used by a Lefty, but I can grind it to a normal Fine/Med or even a Left Foot Oblique at no extra cost. This thing is buttery smooth and puts down a nice juicy line. The mechanical pencil is equally beautiful and functions flawlessly deploying/retracting lead when the top portion(clip end) is twisted. Excellent condition and a rare set to add on to any collection or any rotation. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements for the pen are: 11.3cm capped, 14cm posted, and 10cm unposted. The pencil measures are 11cm.
