A superb looking balance with great color. The imprints are crisp. This balance is the full length, but slender compared to the oversized models. The nickel trim is perfect on the cap band, very good on the clip, and worn on the lever. Visulated section has great transparency although the pics show it cloudier than it actually is due to water vapor left in the pen from cleaning after the writing sample. It has 1 thin strip of ink stain, but the overall transparency lets you see easily how much ink you have left. The nib is the original Sheaffer's #3 14k gold nib. Writes a Fine to Medium. Very smooth with just a little spring to give your writing a touch of character. A great everyday writer. The clip dates the pen to 1934-35, but the color pattern puts it at 1936. Threads are excellent, and cap screws on smooth and snug. Has a new sac, and ready for a new home. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements are: 14cm capped, 15.5cm posted, and 11.9cm unposted.
