A beautiful Montblanc 146 LeGrand in shiny black precious resin from the late 70's to 80's. The pen is in excellent condition with minor wear for its age. The gold trim is perfect and has absolutely no brassing. There are some light micro scratches here and there. The ink window is very clear. Threads are perfect and the cap screws on buttery smooth. Clip band engraved "Germany" and the cap band is engraved "Montblanc Meisterstuck No. 146" The piston filler allows huge ink capacity and is fully functional with no leaks. The ink flow is superb delivering excellent flow to the original Montblanc14k Fine/Medium nib. The nib is very smooth and has shading behavior with some springiness for quality writing. Truly a classy pen with the bells and whistles you would expect from Montblanc. The feed does have one fin missing towards the section which does not affect functionality at all. The section also has one or two tiny visible dots of pink sealant which is hard to see unless inspecting the pen. This at least shows it was serviced, and kept in excellent condition. Montblanc star is perfectly white with no scratches. The pen was left unpolished and original. I can give it a light polish which will shine up the trim and get rid of most micro scratches if the new owner wishes. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements are: 14.5cm capped, 16cm posted, and 12.5cm unposted.
