[SOLD]Waterman 52 1/2v Red Ripple $120

[SOLD]Waterman 52 1/2v Red Ripple

A nice vintage Waterman 52 1/2v Red Ripple. The pen has superb flexibility, but there is one major fault. The original pressure bar has been replaced by a J-Bar because the lever is missing 1 pin which holds the pressure bar in place. The J-bar functions just fine with the lever, and the pen draws/expels ink like it should. Imprints are a little weak, but you can partially make out most of the Waterman Company text that was originally there. The nib is Waterman's 14k gold Ideal #2 nib that writes from a juicy Fine/Medium to BBB. A beautiful and smooth nib that is right between a full flex and superflex. Threads are excellent and the cap screws on smooth/snug. Gold trim is in superb shape with no brassing, and is nice and shiny. The cap top still has its original ringtop. The hard rubber feed is also ripple patterned, but looks a bit darker than the rest of the pen, and the pictures make it look like its BHR, but it is ripple feed with the mottled pattern. Has a new sac, and ready for a new home. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements: 11cm capped, 14cm posted, and 10.2cm unposted.
