[SOLD]Waterman 0712 1/2 Eyedropper $80

[SOLD]Waterman 0712 1/2 Eyedropper
Edit: Relisted due to realizing a crack in the nib. User grade price for a Full-Superflex nib!
This thin little Waterman eyedropper would be perfect for someone with small hands or someone that won't mind a small pen 8.5mm wide at the gold band. Because of its 1/2 size its thin, but being an eyedropper holds about a full cartridge amount of ink. The chasing on the pen is superb, very detailed. The wide gold band has no engraving and is nice and shiny. Trim on clip is excellent as well marked 18k gold filled. The top of the cap has slightly oxidized to a dark brown and doesn't match the rest of the pen that is almost a jet black. I've re-blackened to match the rest of the pen(cap in the pics reflect before re-blackening). The original 14k Waterman's Ideal #2 nib writes from a XF-BBB that is between a Full and Superflex. Capable of hairlines with a light hand, but a little bit of feedback because of its very fine width. The nib has a hairline crack on the base of the nib that extends up to the NEW in New York stamping. I couldn't capture it in the pictures, because of the gold being shiny and the crack being so thin. The crack does not affect performance, and it is in an area not stressed by writing, but I would be very hesitant to knock out the nib and re-install since this will stress the nib. The model number on this pen 07 means a wide gold band, 12 is the model number pre-dating the 52, and 1/2 is the slender variant 8.5mm wide measuring the gold band(about the thickness of a Bic stick). These 0712's in all variations are getting more and more scarce! Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm grid 90 gsm Clairefontaine paper. Measurements: 12cm capped, 15.2cm posted, and 11.2cm unposted.
