These vintage Pelikan 140 are very nice pens due to the classic Pelikan piston filler and the vintage 14k gold nibs. This one has excellent clarity for viewing ink supply. Gold trim in excellent shape with good imprints on the cap band. Piston filler has been lubed and operates very smooth. Clip has excellent tension. Threads are crisp, and cap screws on smooth and snug. The nib and feed has a collar which makes it one unit that can be screwed out for other interchangeable units from Pelikan of the same size. Being able to screw out also makes cleaning the pen a breeze. I usually screw them out and fill with water hold my finger over the section and give it a good shake and after 2-3 times the pen is practically completely cleaned. This one has the name "Christa Zeuke" inscribed on the barrel. The cap also has a very thin hairline which does not go all the way through. The nib is a Fine with a little flex that allows good line variation to BB. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements for the pen are: 12.5cm capped, 14.5cm posted, and 11.5cm unposted.
