[SOLD]Waterman 15 Wet Noodle Eyedropper $200
[SOLD]Waterman 15 Eyedropper
Pen ID #A225
This is such a old and rare pen, and so hard to come by. Although the pen is not in the best looking cosmetic condition it is the highly sought after Waterman's Ideal #5 New York made nib that is the gem of this pen. The pen has oxidation, and the gold filled decorated bands has brassing in some parts, but the XXF nib is a wet noodle that flexes amazingly to BBB easily. The eyedropper holds an amazing amount of ink. Which is quite needed when flexing with this beast. Imprints are almost completely faded away, and must be searched to see remnants on the barrel. You can make out the model imprint of "15" on the butt end, but it has faded a bit as well. I can re-blacken the pen if the new owner wishes free of charge with Pen Potion#9. I re-blackened a Swan back in April which shows how it would look if applied to this 15. Despite the cosmetic flaws with this pen that is well over a century old, the wet noodle XXF nib in a highly collectible pen makes this one of those rare offerings that I hardly ever come by. No cracks, splits, or bite marks. Just oxidation of the rubber and some brassing on the double bands. Overall very good condition for a pen of this age. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements for the pen are: 13.7cm capped, 18cm posted, and 12.5cm unposted.
