[SOLD]Parker 51 Vacumatic 16k Gold Filled Cap w/Box
Very nice black Parker 51 Vacumatic with gold filled cap indicating 1/10 16k gold filled. The cap does has a few light dings. Cap jewel is intact and has nice pearlescence to it. Clip is the split arrow blue diamond clip, but has lost its blue paint. It has excellent tension. Diaphragm is working well. The clutch ring is in great shape and the cap fits perfectly. The imprints are deep and detailed stating, "Parker 51 Made in USA" with date code of "5." Indicating the pen was made in 1945 third quarter. The gold nib is an Extra Fine, but smooth, and perfect for small writing or use in the office. The box has its paper hinge torn, so it functions like a two piece box. The corners of the top piece is busted and has tape holding them together. The bottom box is in good shape. Barrel has some light scratches, but no cracks, chips, or bite marks. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements for the pen are: 13.5cm capped, 15cm posted, and 12.5cm unposted.
