Good day ladies and gents. I have a wonderful user grade Waterman 15 Hard Rubber Eyedropper in a bargain priced user grade condition. The pen writes like a dream, but has cosmetic defects making it a great deal for those looking for a pen with history and amazing flex. The pen has scratches on the barrel and cap lip, and missing the clip creating a hole where the two rivets originally were. Imprints are good and legible although not the deepest. Model imprint clearly shows 15 and is detailed. There is a personalization of, "George W. Tolbin" on the barrel. The finish is chased but the chasing has worn in the majority of the pen, while the hard rubber is still pretty dark. Without the hole, scratches, and personalization the pen could easily be double the asking price. Now with all the problems out of the way lets get to the good, and why this is still a wonderful flex pen. The Waterman #15 is a rare pen, and the #5 Ideal 14k gold nibs are hard to find compared to the more commonly seen #12. There is nothing wrong with the feed/nib which delivers amazing flow when flexed. This is one of those pens where the flow is mild but lubricating when unflexed giving you the abilities to write a XF and flexes to BBB that really opens up the flow when you need it while flexing! A superbly writing nib that is capable of fancy scripts or daily writing. The pen might have hard starts due to the hole where the rivets were, but just hold it over a trash bin nib down and give a light jolt until a drop of ink comes out of the nib to prime it and you're good to go! The writing ability of this pen is the epitome of vintage flex, and this eyedropper pen holds a ton of ink! A eyedropper pipette will be included for ease of filling. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements for the pen are: 13.5cm capped, 18.1cm posted, and 13cm unposted.
