These Snakeskin pattern Swans are highly sought after. This one is in great shape with very nice color and pattern. The company info imprints are very crisp, but the center of the Swan logo imprint is just a bit faded. There is a personalization with "L.E.C" engraved on the opposite side of the imprints. The gold trim is in very good shape with tiny hint of brassing on the cap band, and the clip ball. The clip itself is very shiny and has good tension although a very tiny gap. It is fully functional with the tension and should clip onto pockets without problems. Swan motif on top of cap is deep, and still has some original white paint. Threads are good, and cap screws on snug and tight. Original Swan's 14k #2 nib has a bit of flex to it writing from a M unflexed to a BB when flexed to give some nice line variation. Original nice hard rubber feed with Swan imprint delivers good ink flow to the nib. The lever has a little squeek when operating but there is no resistance, and it functions perfectly fine. Just thought I should add that info in case it matters to some people. My previous Swan Snakeskins had a model number, but this one does not which is a little unusual. There are no remnants of a model number, and I'm sure this one never had one as the barrel has very little wear. Has a new sac, and ready for a new home. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements are: 12.8cm capped, 15.5cm posted, and 12cm unposted.
