This is the second Waterman 52 I have available. This one while not as jet black and detailed as the first 52 it is an excellent writer. Imprints are deep and detailed including the model imprint on the butt end of the barrel. Threads are excellent. The overall color of the hard rubber is just slightly off black with a little more oxidation to the cap. No chips, cracks, or bite marks. A vintage Waterman in wonderful condition. The clip has excellent tension, but has a tiny bit of side to side play. The nib is a wonderful original Waterman's Ideal 14k gold nib that is a beautiful FLEXIBLE STUB! I have in the writing sample a non flex and flexed cross hatching to show how beautiful this nib writes. Unflexed it writes a nice F/M stub with very thin horizontal lines, but when flexed will give huge swells up to BBB+. Excellent writer for the money especially with another 10% of the marked price. Writing sample is done on .5cm grid on 90gsm Clairefontaine paper. Measurements for the pen are: 13.5cm capped, 16.5cm posted, and 13cm unposted.
