Beautiful set in excellent condition that seems to be hardly used. The box is in excellent shape, and is original for the pen set. Matching mechanical pencil works perfectly, and both are in shiny black celluloid. Trim on both instruments are in great shape! Imprints are absolutely perfect on both pieces. Great threads on FP, and cap screws on smooth/snug. Beautiful 14k gold Waterman's Ideal nib writes very smooth. Writes from XF to BB with great responsiveness and control. The section is visulated to allow you to see when the ink is low, and tells you it is time to refill. There are some very light and sparse scratches near the butt end of the barrel, but they are hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of this set. The pencil has 5 pieces of extra lead behind the eraser, and there is another pack of 4 brand new Waterman's replacement erasers. Pen was restored, filled, writing sample done, and thoroughly cleaned awaiting its new owner. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm grid 90 gsm Clairefontaine paper. Measurements for pen: 10.5cm capped, 13.5cm posted, and 10.2cm unposted. Pencil measures 10.9cm.
