A nice big and rare Swan self filler. The biggest that I've had come through my hands were a #4, and the only time I've seen a #6 nib was on a leverless which was a beautiful pen. This one is in great condition with the exception of the cap. The cap has some damage. A little corner off the top and two small indentations. The cap is structurally fine, and none of the damage have cracks or splits leading from it. The gold trim is very good with only very minor brassing on one small part of the clip and a touch on the cap bands. The gold trim is nice and shiny throughout regardless of the minimal brassing. The imprints are quite faint, but I can make out most of it under good lighting and the right angles. This pen is quite big for vintage times with a nice girth 13mm at the center of the barrel. The pen actually took almost a full length size 22 sac!Pen has been fully restored and writes well with nice shading behavior. The nib is the original Swan's 14k gold #6 nib that is soft and between a springy/semi-flex. So this isn't a flex nib, but it has a soft touch with just a bit of line variation and a luxuriously smooth nib. The nib alone is worth close to $100! Reminds me of the great Swan Eternal nibs. No flex on Eternals, but known by many to be high quality smooth writing wonderful nibs. This pen is wonderful. The black celluloid is nice and glossy, and it writes like a dream. Has a new sac, and ready for a new home. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm grid 90 gsm Clairefontaine paper. Measurements: 13cm capped, 16.5cm posted, and 12cm unposted.
