[SOLD]Waterman 52 1/2 GF N.Y. Nib $185

[SOLD]Waterman 52 1/2 GF N.Y. Nib

This 52 1/2 with the gold filled looks extremely beautiful. The gold filling apart from some worn spots is highly reflective and shiny. A beautiful vintage Waterman with a highly sought after New York made nib. There is a inscription that reads, "F.D. Conrad" and there are some spots on the gold fill that shows some wear(please check pics). But it does not detract from the overall beauty of this gem! There are a few small bite marks at the end of the barrel where the imprints are. Clip has superb tension, and you can see me with the camra in the pic with the cap top, like a mirror! The original NY made 14k gold Waterman's nib is a Fine with almost stub like qualities. The horizontal strokes are XF, and downstrokes are Fine. When you add pressure it flexes all the way to BBB! Please not the combination of the superb flow and my cheap HP paper shows some feathering when close to max flex. This is not unusual since the HP paper I use is good for FP inks, but definitely not the best. It is not the pens fault, but rather the paper can't handle juicy flow when a nice flexible pen puts down serious ink. Very nice and elegant vintage flex pen for you collection or daily use. Has a new sac and ready for a new home. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements for the pen are: 13.8cm capped, 17cm posted, and 12.8cm unposted.
