This Lady Patricia is priced lower than my previous ones since there is slight discoloring in the cap. This is due to the inner cap out-gassing over time. Not as bad as some of the worse examples where the cap has almost clear rings around the inner cap, but you do notice it a bit. Imprints are very deep and crisp on the barrel. Gold trim is very good with a tiny bit of wear on the edges of the lever. The Onyx finish is very nice and looks almost like a slab of marble. Pen is all original with red hard rubber section and feed. The original Waterman's Ideal 14k gold #2 nib is a superb writer that is very smooth! Writes from a Fine to BB+ offering nice line variation and character to your writing. The flow on this pen is excellent since the nib/feed has been heat set. Clip has excellent tension, and the threads are crisp allowing the cap to screw on smooth and snug. Please excuse my poor writing sample where the cross grid has 2 downward strokes where the feed touched the paper depositing more ink than normal writing situations. This new Akkerman ink is a wet ink and with the serious amount of ink caused a bit of feathering. This is the property of a wet ink and not the pen. Ask any Lady Patricia owner and they will tell you how wonderful these pens are! Has a new sac, and ready for a new home. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements for the pen are: 10.8cm capped, 14cm posted, and 10cm unposted.
