This pen is in excellent condition besides the ends with a bit of crazing. The ends are solid and the crazing is only on the surface. The chasing and details are very deep. The pen is jet black since it is a plastic and not hard rubber. Probably a plus for some as they won't have to worry about rubber oxidation in the future. This pen will keep its nice dark color. Monogram area is not personalized. Clip has excellent tension and is chrome while the lever has some wear and has a slightly gold shade to it. While it doesn't match the clip it doesn't look too out of place when casually viewed. The pen writes as good as it looks. Whoever decided to replace it with the Conklin 14k gold nib had an appetite for flex, and this nib is a joy to write with. Writes from XF to BBBB very easily with good snapback. Amazing nib! Writing sample is done on .5cm grid 90 gsm Clairefontaine paper. Measurements: 13.5cm capped, 17cm posted, and 12.2cm unposted.
