[SOLD]Waterman 12 1/2 PSF N.Y. Nib BCHR $125

[SOLD]Waterman 12 1/2 PSF New York Nib in Black Chased Hard Rubber

A very old and rare Waterman with a New York nib is a highly sought after pen. Imprints are good although not the most crisp or deep. It looks better than the pictures, and is legible to the naked eye. The model imprint is very good with remnants of its original red paint. The butt end seems to have a carved in design which makes it look different from the normal circular end. Quite uniform and looks rather well done(check pics). Lever has very good details of the Ideal Globe, and nickel trim is intact. The chasing is not the strongest, but present on the barrel and cap. The cap has some damage most notably a chipped area and a very small hairline on the lip. Cap screws on smoothly and snug. The cap also comes with a unbranded aftermarket clip which has excellent tension and holds onto the cap securely, but is not seized, so you can choose to use it with a clip or leave it clipless like it was originally. Hard rubber is oxidized to an even dark brown(I can redarken for free if desired). The Waterman Ideal New York nib is buttery smooth and have very good shading abilities. Writes a F/M-BB+ giving your writing lots of character and lots of line variation, and is quite responsive. Please check pics for a better description. Writing sample is done on .5cm light grey grid print on HP 24lb laserjet paper. Measurements are: 13.5cm capped, 15.6cm posted, and 11.8cm unposted.
