Conway Stewart is renowned for making high quality writing instruments for England with a long history. The 388 is a exceptional daily writer. While not known for their flex, the nibs are semi flex, and have good spring to them. This 388 in black has 3 cap bands, and clip with no brassing! The lever does have 2 tiny spots of brassing however. The body and cap is made of a deep black celluloid. Very elegant looking. Installed with a new sac, so it'll be good to go for a very long time. Nib is hallmarked with "Conway Stewart 14ct 5N" very smooth writer. Writes a line between a F-M and flexes to a broad. The lower cap ring is a little loose. It doesn't fall off the cap, but it does move. I can glue in place if the new owner wants that. The imprints are excellent.
